Innovation and Digital Shift

Innovation and Digital Shift
Now more than ever, businesses and organizations must demonstrate creativity to stand out and remain competitive. That’s why we are contributing to the implementation of several innovative projects and accelerating the digital shift in our communities.
Accelerate innovation and the digital transformation of small businesses

The Network, along with the SADC and CAE, provides various solutions to foster innovation and digital transformation within the Quebec regions. We partner with multiple national agencies and involve our members to effectively support SMEs and organizations on the ground. The advisors from SADC and CAE are aware of entrepreneurs’ needs and can help them in their endeavors, especially through advisory services, specialist access, training, or financing.

In order to provide the best advice to our clients, many of our advisors are trained in innovation and are accredited as Innovation Advisors by the Quebec Innovation Council. In addition to having solid expertise, they have access to accurate information about available programs and funds. Inquire with your SADC or CAE.

Advisor in digital

In addition to the training offered by the Network, many of our advisors have pursued a specialized path in digital technology through the Colab platforms. Contact your SADC or CAE to learn more.

Inspiring innovative project
La culture de noisetier dans le Bas-Saint-Laurent
Developing hazelnut cultivation in Bas-Saint-Laurent

The eight SADC organizations in Bas-Saint-Laurent have been collaborating technically and financially since 2018 to develop hazelnut farming. Currently, 15 producers across the Bas-Saint-Laurent region are part of the experimental network for this emerging crop, under the supervision of the Biopterre Product Development Centre in La Pocatière. The SADC organizations have assisted in identifying suitable lands for research, recruiting and supporting producers, as well as promoting the new Quebec hazelnut sector. In the fall of 2023, they participated in an exploratory mission in Ontario organized by Biopterre and the Centre for the Development of Bioproducts and Non-Timber Forest Product and Innovative Crop Sectors in Bas-Saint-Laurent. The goal was to better understand and draw inspiration from the practices in these two key hazelnut-producing regions in North America and to continue developing this crop within the region.
