We are present in the regions to create or support collective projects that address the economic challenges of the area and the needs of entrepreneurs. The economic development projects we support enhance the capacity of communities to realize their full potential in a sustainable manner. Together, let’s tackle the challenges of our regions!

Local economic development for prosperous and sustainable communities

By mobilizing key players to address the main economic challenges in their region, SADC and CAE professionals are advancing local projects.

The local initiatives or impactful projects we support are varied and cover different themes such as youth, business transfer, innovation, sustainable development, digital transformation, and workforce.

We are the strategic partner with whom to build a sustainable action plan and implement concrete initiatives to tackle the economic challenges of our regions.

SADC and CAE work together with community members to:

- Support local initiatives or impactful projects
- Conduct analyses and sectoral or regional studies
- Coordinate knowledge transfer activities such as group training, exchange workshops, advisory services, or collective support for SMEs
- Organize awareness-raising, networking, consultation, and facilitation activities to engage community stakeholders in addressing an economic issue.

SADCs et CAEs

For over 40 years, SADC and CAE have been working towards the economic development of regions in Quebec. They support and finance innovative projects and businesses each year for thriving communities.

Le développement économique local au coeur du Programme de développement des collectivités

The SADC and CAE are implementing the Community Futur Program (CFP) across all regions, through which they support and finance over 10,000 entrepreneurs and more than 1,000 local economic development projects each year. The CFP is a federal program that recognizes the expertise of local decision-makers and the autonomy of decision-making, aimed at enhancing community participation in taking charge of their future. The CFP is also rolled out across Canada through the funding of 269 SADCs and CAEs.
